MILWAUKEE – The following statement was released today by Container Life Cycle Management LLC (CLCM):

“Container Life Cycle Management LLC (CLCM) provides a valuable environmental service, helping recondition and recycle roughly one million drums and plastic containers each year. Our highest priority has been – and will continue to be – the health and safety of our employees and the communities in which we operate.

CLCM has agreed to enter into a proposed Consent Decree with the United States Environmental Protection Agency and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to resolve issues identified by those agencies over five years ago.

CLCM has denied and disputes the allegations brought by the agencies and continues to maintain that the facilities have been operated consistent with longtime, industry-standard reconditioning practices and regulations, but we have decided that it is best to resolve these issues rather than continue a costly legal challenge.”
